Eggbutt bits are designed to not pinch the corners of the mouth. This French Link Eggbutt Snaffle bit is made of solid stainless steel, and has a double joint in the center of the mouthpiece. 

The French Link is the small flat peanut-shaped link in the center of the bit which lies flat against the tongue.This double jointed bit has 3 pieces in the mouth of the horse which creates a “U” shape rather than the “V” in single jointed bits.
